Our plan was for us 3 sisters plus mom to have a girls weekend again. We had it all lined out to have the hotel room, to go shopping, to go to the Melodrama, to eat out, to catch up with each other. Well...the weather did not cooperate.
In the end, my sister Pam was the only one that was able to make it because of the snow and sleet. She's the crazy one too because she drove down in spite of it all.
So, her and I trecked on to the hotel for Friday night. We ventured out in the snow and sleet to shop at Target. That's what you call serious shoppers.
Saturday morning was interesting. We got up to hit the mall. When we went out to her vehicle we could not believe the ice. It was so thick that the passenger doors were too frozen to open. Pam realized that she did not have an ice scraper. Luckily, the front desk let us borrow two to get to scraping. Long story short, we scraped for what felt like hours. The tires were even frozen with inches of ice. A nice gentleman helped push us out and we were on our way.
We spent the day at the mall and when we came out we were pleasantly surprised to find the snow melting and the sun shining. The roads were better and we were happy.
It was an awesome weekend with my sister. We laughed so dang hard. Seriously. Hard laughter. I don't know how many times we had to stop walking to laugh for fear we'd pee our pants! It felt so good to laugh that hard. I can't tell you how much I needed that.
We got lucky and hit some really good sales. Our time was short but I cherished every minute. We were sad that mom and Angie could not make it though. We missed them.
I'm so lucky to have had such a great time with such an awesome sister.
