Conversation

Landon took a ride with me to Wichita tonight. Oh how I love to converse with him. He has such cute thing he says. Our conversation started out tonight about football. He's how it went....

Landon: "I don't want to take football again this year if all we do is lose."

Me: "I know it was rough to lose games but it builds character."

Landon: "Ya, but some of us already had character."

Of course our talk was way longer than this and we talked about why they lost so much, and about teamwork, and sportsmanship, blah blah blah. But, the highlight of the conversation is as mentioned above. How cute is that? "some of us already had character!"

I never in a million years thought I'd ever hear him say he doesn't want to take football. This is just something he's tossing around in his head. The boy is thinking ahead. Nothing wrong with that.
