Tradition

It's an annual tradition to make these cookies. We buy the colored dough from the school fundraiser. The kids have fun making all kinds of shapes of cookies. There are a lot of creative juices flowing!! Shelbie asked first what she should make and I suggested a Christmas tree and this is what she came up with. She did a great job! Makes me think...oh ya, we should get our tree up soon!
This is one that Landon took a lot of time on. It's a box of McDonald french fries. Although they all cooked together he took much time to cut each individual fry out.

Tag

I got tagged by my sister in law, Michelle. These are questions about Tim. Here are my answers.
Husbands name: Timothy Allen Young
How long married: 16 years..WOW.
How long dated: I think it was a year before we got married. ??? Maybe a year and a month???
How old is he: He was 40. Another WOW. I remember when my dad was 40 and thinking it was old, old, old. Do you think our kids think that now?
Taller: Him of course. By a lot.
Who can sing the best: Probably him. He did that choir, solo, etc. stuff before. Not me. I try to sing low as to not scare others away. He has commented before that I can sing as low as he can though.
Smart: Him again. School came easy for him. He got his Masters Degree this year. Mr. Smartypants. Yup, anytime I want to know something about anything I just ask him. He doesn't always know the answers but a lot of the time he was. He's very smart.
Laundry: I do the laundry. Probably more than he realizes. But, on occasion he will do a load.
Paying bills: Most of our bills are done automatically out of our account. But he's more with it when it comes to our money. I do go pay the water bill, does that count for something?
Who sleeps on the right side of bed: Looking at the bed he does. Laying down in bed I do. Which answer is right?
Mows the lawn: That's him. He NEVER lets me do it. He's afraid I will mess it up and not cut those perfect stripes in it right.
Cooks dinner: Depends who is home. Since I work 2nd shift he's had to step up to that area. Of course they eat out a lot when I am working. I'll cook when we can all agree on what to have!
He does the grillin of course and makes the chili most of the time too.
First to admit they are wrong: I'm not sure about this one. We are both kinda stubborn sometimes.
Who kissed first: I have no idea. I don't remember stuff well.
Who wears the pants: We both do.

Now, I guess I'm supposed to tag three people. So randomly I choose: Amanda, Kristen, and Megan. These are three people I'd be interested in hearing their answers to!

Lunch date

HAPPY

SILLY

FRIENDS

I had so much fun having lunch with Julie the other day. She's a riot. I was so wound up that day, laughing uncontrollably. It felt so good. She is such a riot..oh ya, I already said that. Good conversation, good salads, silly behavior...the ingredients to a perfect lunch!

Things we saw this football season

It was yet another football season, here and gone just like that. Landon had fun again, he says this is his favorite sport so far. He was number 30 this year. See if you can find him in these pictures! The season was a tough one because they were not the "winning" team on the record. But, I think they were winners because despite their losses they played hard and they had great sportsmanship. That is what makes a winner. So, take a look at things we saw this football season...

We saw Landon run the ball quite a bit this year.

We saw disappointment.
We saw happiness!

We saw him get injured. Thank goodness it was nothing major although we did have one trip to the emergency room.
We saw him playing quarterback.

We saw some blocking and yes, we saw some penalties too (not in this picture though, he's just running the ball in this pic!)

We saw supportive fans cheering him on! Thanks!

We saw friendships forming and others growing stronger.
We saw some touchdowns too!

It's all worth it in the end. Good job Landon!

Halloween

Halloween is more fun spent with friends. The pic of Tim and girls is from Halloween night and the other one with her friends was taken before the school dance. We call these two friends our "other daughters" because they are always together.

Remember Carrie turned 40?

This was taken the night we stole Carrie from her house at midnight and took her out for her birthday breakfast.

These are great friends. I love them each dearly and each one is special in their own way.

Wanda. peaceful
Lorraine. quiet yet surprisingly onery
Linda. a hoot
Carrie. another Martha Stewart
LaRita. balanced
LeaAnn. considerate

I tried to tag one word for each friend. The first word that I think of when I think of them. Some are more than one word..I know, I know..don't get all technical on me now!

Anyway, we have a great time sneaking into their house and singing Happy Birthday to their bed and then finding out that she wasn't even in bed. Gary and Abbie were in the bed! Carrie snuck up from behind and surprised us. Stinker. We stole her away, gave her ridiculous gifts, and ate. You can see that my tummy was crazy full from eating such a big meal that late in the night.

You didn't think I'd forget to post more 40th birthday pics did ya? I did not forget. mwah ha ha

zzzz...

I love a sleeping boy.

peaceful

calm

quiet

Of course I love him awake too.

Good news and bad news

Good news is.... We got a new powercord for my laptop. Yea!! right??

Wrong.

Bad news is.... The laptop still does not work. What is wrong, I have no idea. But, it made me freak out because I thought I'd lost all my photos. Tim reassured me that they can be recovered. Possibly at a very high price though, more bad news.

So, I am keeping my fingers crossed that it is nothing major. ugh ugh ugh

Could you use this?

Could you use a Public toilet like this one? Go ahead..click on it and then leave a comment saying whether you could or not.

I think I could use it. It would be so much fun to be on the outside knowing someone was in there. I could laugh or stand and stare even though I couldn't see them. It would creep them out! That would be good fun right there! I could do it all day!

Class

Tonight I started my class. Three nights a week for 5 hours. By mid-January I will be done. We dove right into the first units of the book. I have homework already. Gosh what fun. NOT!!

Can I just say....

I miss my laptop. I checked at BestBuy for the adaptor that I need and it will cost $100. That's stupid crazy don't ya think?

I went to put some pictures on here last night but the files were too big or something. Anyhoo...I miss my blog. I've seemed to have lost my voice. I don't even like typing on this laptop because it's missing the letter "E". Ya I know..it's a common letter too. So, I have to push hard to get the "E" to show up. Then it messes up and I have to backsapc (there, did it again)..to fix it. ugh.

So, until I get my blog voice and my picture capabilities back to post new pictures I guess I will post this old pic. It's a cute one. This picture of Shelbie was in the local newspaper years ago. Isn't she adorable?

Kitten update

So many things I wanna post about.......halloween, pumpkin decorating, football, soccer. But, for now all you are gonna hear about is a quick story. Remember about the three little kittens who lost their mittens? Ok, that has nothing to do with it. But, the 3 kittens having been hiding in the bushes in front of our house. I called Animal Control because we do not need any more stray cats hanging around. They not only eat all of Fishers food but they carry diseases and such.

Anyhoo, they came and set traps. It trapped one kitten and I saw one other one by the cage. I brought some food out and lured him over to me. Then I picked him but and put him in the cage too. This morning as Tim was leaving for work I ask him if the other kitten was in the cage. He walked around and saw a possum in it.

A big ugly scary looking possum. I wanted to take a picture but they picked him up before I got a chance to. Just take my word for it...he was ugly. U G L Y..you ain't got no alibi.
